Bethesda’s DLC for Starfield called Shattered Space easily has 40+ hours of gameplay and tons of new items, weapons, clothing & suits
To start this off. I am a simp. For Christina Lucci, yes. But for Bethesda too. So my impressions are usually going to be favorable for them. but I am realistic, I realize they have a ton of issues. But with the gaming industry the way it is now… I am not going to dog on some one or some company just to do it, or be the mindless drones who can’t think for themselves.
What is Shattered Space?
Bethesda’s Shattered Space DLC is an expansion that centers around House Va’Ruun. Though many times you are attacked by House Va’Ruun, you have to look closer and see they are “Zealots” and not the true people of this culture. You get to dive into the lore of this culture and even become one if you wish. Without spoilers, you have to figure out what really happened on the home world and the City of Dazra.
What comes with the DLC?
The main story line of course, tons of side quests, hand crafted areas, dungeons, mines, locations. Not to mention new outfits, spacesuits, weapons and doo dads. Some say if you race through the main story it is about 15 hours of content. If you do the side quests, explore the new world and moons; you are looking at over 40 hours.
First Impressions
Ever play Elder Scrolls IV? Oblivion? Ever play the DLC Shivering Isles? One of my favorite DLC’s of any game genre. Well it has the same feel to it right out of the gate. Once you get to the “intro” to the new world, it kind of blows your mind. The colors, the atmosphere & the people. Heading into my 11th hour of playing, I barely scratched the surface of the main quest, completed only a few side quests and there are, so far (I actually been counting) 22 new POI’s so far. Some are unique, others I feel could be distributed into the entire game.
Is It Worth It?
I will put it like this. If you loved Starfield, then this will blow your mind (insert Joker meme) and you will have a hard time putting it down. If you liked Starfield, like Bethesda; this might change your mind into loving the game. I do feel pretty strongly about it. If you thought the game sucked or was boring, then why the f*ck are you even here? Long story short, it is well worth playing and if you have to buy it, it is well worth the money; even hours to dollars it pans out well.
