Probably not. But I needed a weekend off.
Over the weekend I had some issues. Again. It never fails, my weekends have turned into a stress-fest, frustration pattern that was not improving. Coming into the weekend I had an idea to just chill for a while, but as usual it took a meltdown to slap me in the face.
The straw that broke the camels back was OBS. I was trying to crop my cam feed so that it would be easier for me to work with, since I am always messing with that damn thing. Once I opened the cam editing window, the entire visual screen went haywire. Turned to a 4:3 ratio, all my graphics were 3,000px wide. I closed the window, tried to “undo” but there was nothing to undo, I didn’t do anything. I went to my saved profile and scenes and what do you know… “Not compatible with this version of OBS.” Why? Because I updated the app that morning.
I scrambled to get it working again. Streamed, then the next day just a barrage of 10-12 things going wrong, in my face, issues and the fact I was somewhat afraid to use my OBS all culminated in me, melting down and shutting off my stream. Privating the video and producing the video that is tagged in this post.
I will most definitely still be working on Tara Dikoff. That is something that will never change. Well, working on videos, maybe not Tara directly. So expect those to keep coming.
It is the streaming. Though the stream itself is usually very fun and relaxing. It is why it probably has taken me so long to come to this head (heh heh head). It is one hell of a time consumer. Minimum 6 hours a week streaming. At least 1 hour set up time. If I am playing games that require maintenance or in game workings, add another hour or two. Plus the promotion, after stream editing in the youtube studio, the thumbnails, etc. It roughly took up 12 hours a week, give or take.
With that came the rush and stress of getting things ready to go on time, etc. I really don’t need that for things that I should be enjoying and relaxing too.
You get it. No reason to continue.
Looking to come to some sort of conclusion in a few weeks. So stay tuned. Not that anyone really cares, but hey! If you do, there you have it.
